The Hunt for the Frankston Serial Killer
In July, 1993, a body was found near Seaford in Victoria. What was most alarming about the discovery was the method of murder deployed on the 22-year-old girl. It bore remarkable similarities to a female body uncovered earlier that year in the same area. Startled, the Victorian police realised they were potentially dealing with a serial killer.
Charlie Bezzina was one of the most respected and effective homicide investigators in the 38 years he served on the force before retiring in 2009. In 1993 Bezzina was a member of the Homicide Squad and swiftly despatched to Frankston to begin the process of hunting the perpetrator of these heinous crimes.
In the Hunt for the Frankston Serial Killer, Charlie Bezzina will delve deep into the investigation, revealing details not shared with the public and how the detectives would eventually unravel the trail to catch a killer.
